Raceday TV – Racecourse Media Group’s (RMG) industry‑leading social media platform for horseracing – has been shortlisted at the 25th Sport Industry Awards.
The channel, which in January surpassed one billion video views across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok has been nominated in the highly competitive Fan Engagement Award category.
Fronted by former Love Island contestant‑turned‑broadcaster Frankie Foster, and instantly recognisable through its now‑iconic orange microphone, Raceday TV has redefined how racing connects with modern audiences.
Its mobile‑shot short‑form videos, presenter‑led features, exclusive behind‑the‑scenes access and real‑time raceday coverage have delivered standout engagement and helped broaden the sport’s reach.
Clive Cottrell, Director of Marketing at RMG, said: “Being nominated for such a prestigious award is a proud moment for everyone involved in Raceday TV. What started as an experiment with a mobile phone and an orange microphone has grown into something that genuinely adds value to the sport. To capture the full raceday experience – the characters, the colour and the emotion that make the sport special – is what it’s all about. The evidence is that this approach is helping broaden racing’s appeal and bring new people through the gates.”
The winners will be announced on 30 April at Evolution London in Battersea.
According to the organisers, “For a quarter of a century The Sport Industry Awards have celebrated the immense work carried out within the sector. Attended by over 1,500 senior executives in sport, the Sport Industry Awards is an unmissable milestone in the sport industry calendar that celebrates the sector’s finest work with 25 prestigious awards up for grabs.
“From agencies delivering world-class events and campaigns, to rightsholders using sport as a platform to drive social change, or brands activating a sponsorship that reverberates around the industry and beyond, and suppliers elevating fan experience on behalf of their clients – all are recognised.”
