Jim Mullen and Britt Boeskov have been appointed independent non-executive directors of Racecourse Media Group (RMG), the umbrella organisation for the 34 racecourses which hold an interest in Racing TV, Racing TV International and Racecourse Data Company. RMG’s betting shop service, Racecourse Retail Business Ltd., is the vehicle which represents 37 racecourses’ content in the LBO (licensed betting office) market.
Jim is one of the gaming industry’s most prominent figures. He was most recently Group Chief Executive of the Ladbrokes Coral Group PLC, and had also held the position of Chief Executive of Ladbrokes. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Ladbrokes Digital and Chief Operating Officer / International Business of William Hill. Before entering the gaming sector, Jim was Director of Product Management and Commercial and Digital Strategy Director at News International.
Britt brings to RMG nearly 15 years of hands-on executive and managerial experience at one of the leading European listed gaming companies, Kindred Group (formerly Unibet Group). Britt is Chief Experience Officer at Kindred, having previously held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Business Development Manager.
In addition, Antonia Wright joins the RMG Board as Company Secretary and the RMG executive team as Legal Director. Antonia is currently Head of Commercial Legal Affairs at global online betting and gaming company The Stars Group. Prior to that, she was Senior Commercial Counsel at online gaming operator and developer Gamesys Group.
The appointments will enable the RMG Board to understand better the challenges that face the gaming industry and provide strategic advice at a pivotal time for the sector.
Roger Lewis, Chairman of RMG said: “These new appointments will enhance the RMG Board’s desire to work closer with the betting and gaming industry. Jim, Britt and Antonia will provide RMG with a better understanding of this critically important driver of our business and will help us build stronger relationships across the industry.
“The RMG ambition is to add as much value as we can to our shareholder racecourses, working alongside our betting and gaming partners, and these appointments are a clear signal of our intent to do so.”
